44688 (2024). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Associate Minister of Police: Further to reply 43829 (2024); Would she be confortable if Police shorten the qualification process for Youth Aid Officers?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that Police’s training and career development structure for their Youth Aid Services positions is an operational and employment matter set out in Police’s Collective Employment Agreement. The qualification process takes two years and there are currently no plans to shorten it. Any future changes would reflect Police’s commitment to continuous improvement and enhancement of its training and recruitment programmes.
