44654 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister for Regulation: What work has been done to "Ensure the quality of new regulation" by the Ministry as one of its key functions, if any?

Hon David Seymour: Responsibility for the regulatory impact analysis (RIA) function transferred from the Treasury to the Ministry for Regulation on 1 May. In addition to continuing to run the existing RIA function, the Ministry is providing advice on how they can improve the RIA function and the quality of regulatory policy advice received by Ministers.
