Hon Rachel Brooking to the Acting Attorney-General: Has the Attorney-General or Acting Attorney-General received any advice or comment from the Legislative Design and Advisory Committee (LDAC) about the Fast Track Approvals Bill, given that the LDAC has previously stated “LDAC’s view is that Parliament should be cautious in legislating bespoke solutions for development projects rather than relying on, or amending, the processes established under existing general law”?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: In accordance with the committee’s usual practice, the Acting Attorney-General was advised that LDAC had made a submission on the Fast-Track Approvals Bill. LDAC’s submission and oral presentation are accessible from Parliament’s website.
