44579 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: Does he stand by his statement that Health New Zealand’s overspend is due to “…a combination of things. It is back-office staff, as we’ve mentioned, but it’s also outsourced personnel”, if so, how many outsourced personal were contracted by Health New Zealand on 27 November 2023?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that Health New Zealand does not hold data on individual outsourced personnel headcount at a given point in time. I am further advised that based on invoices presented and captured by accounting systems in the month of November 2023, this is estimated as a total FTE of 2,931.5
