44492 (2024). Rt Hon Chris Hipkins to the Prime Minister: What advice, reports, briefings, aide-memoires, risk-registers, or any other documents, if any, has the Prime Minister or any member of their Office received during the week of 15 July 2024, by title and date?
Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: During the week of 14-20 July 2024, the Hon David Seymour was Acting Prime Minister.
As Prime Minister, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on a range of matters. The following documents for the Prime Minister portfolio from my officials in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) were received between 15-19 July 2024:
• Cabinet Office Circular: Legislation Programme Reassessment, 15 July 2024
• Chief Executive Attestation Statement for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, 17 July 2024
• Progress on the Implementation of Government Targets, 19 July 2024
• Your Cabinet paper on Monday 22 July: Overseas Travel: Governor-General, 19 July 2024
• Prime Minister’s Weekly report, 19 July 2024.
I also received two documents on 16 July 2024, and one document on 19 July 2024. It is not in the public interest to release the titles of these documents.
Jointly with the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery the following document was also received: North Island Weather Events: Progress update on categorisation and buyouts, sediment and debris, 17 July 2024.
I have received briefings from the Policy Advisory Group, a business unit of DPMC, during the requested timeframe however I am not releasing the titles of these briefings.
In addition, staff in my office may informally receive documents, including draft documents, from my officials in DPMC and from other agencies, and from Ministers’ offices. This information is not held in a format that can be easily extracted within the time frame.
