Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter (January to March 2024) has been made toward actioning ‘Workforce training, guidelines and resources’ under Focus area 2: Combination prevention and health promotion actions as recommended in the National HIV Action Plan?

Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised that, in the January to March 2024 quarter, the New Zealand Sexual Health Society organised training to promote the updated clinical guidance for appropriate pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) prescribing in primary health care services.
