Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: Further to his replies to Questions 43083 (2025) and 43068 (2025), why do Kāinga Ora’s systems that monitor the delivery of homes against contracts with build partners and developers allow for build partners to be unspecified and how is their delivery performance monitored if Kāinga Ora is unable to easily identify the build partners in their reporting?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that the listing of “unspecified” build partners in its reporting systems reflected a snapshot in time. At that point, while multiple projects were already underway, the details of some of the build partners had not yet been finalised or entered into the reporting systems. Kāinga Ora has confirmed that the data has been updated for all previously “unspecified” entries.
