44418 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter (January to March 2024) has been made toward actioning ‘Initiatives that empower and connect people living with HIV’ under ‘Focus area 4: Support for people living with HIV, including stigma and discrimination actions’ as recommended in the National HIV Action Plan?
Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised during the January to March 2024 quarter, HIV service providers continued to deliver peer and community-led programmes, including resources, to support and empower people living with HIV. This includes work progressed by the new kaupapa Māori, peer-led organisation (Toitū te Ao) funded to connect and empower Māori living with HIV.
