44410 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter (January to March 2024) has been made toward actioning ‘Anti-stigma and discrimination initiatives for the wider public’ under ‘Focus area 4: Support for people living with HIV, including stigma and discrimination actions’ as recommended in the National HIV Action Plan?
Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised during the January to March 2024 quarter, a working group established by Health New Zealand, which includes people living with HIV, met to discuss the approach and direction of a social marketing campaign. The goal of this campaign is to address stigma and discrimination experienced by people living with HIV. This work will inform further cross-government action to reduce stigma and discrimination.
