44397 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter (January to March 2024) to deliver a ‘National Data Platform’ within Te Whatu Ora, under the Health system reform roadmap - Data and digital?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the January to March 2024 quarter, Health New Zealand's National Data Platform (NDP) project approved various technical designs and moved into base build phase. Design of the target operating model also began, with the objective of ensuring Health NZ has the right skills, the right roles, and the right processes to operationalise NDP when the project moves into "run" mode at the end of Q4 2024/25.
