Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the quarter (January to March 2024) to implement the recommendation ‘Where nationally validated management guidelines for a condition have been developed these should be referenced as having been consulted and appropriately followed when referring to secondary services’ as part of Te Whatu Ora Planned Care Taskforce Reset and Restore Plan?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that clinical pathways include validated management guidelines and are available to primary care nationally. These are part of referral grading and triage processes currently used by clinicians.
