Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the quarter (January to March 2024) to implement the recommendation ‘That approaches to the assessment of urinary incontinence and prolapse are further assessed with a view to developing a national pathway’ as part of Te Whatu Ora Planned Care Taskforce Reset and Restore Plan?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the January to March 2024 quarter, work continued on a national pelvic mesh complications pathway, which went live in April at the same time as national referral pathways for primary care and private specialists. All Health Pathways sites have urinary incontinence pathways (with the exception of Hawke’s Bay).
