Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the quarter (January to March 2024) to implement the recommendation ‘Develop a national strategy directing future investment in mobile diagnostic provision’ as part of Te Whatu Ora Planned Care Taskforce Reset and Restore Plan?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the January to March 2024 quarter, Health New Zealand progressed a range of diagnostic work through a Radiology Transformation Programme. I am advised that one of the objectives of the programme is to deliver services that are convenient for patients; timely; based on need, and available closer to where patients live or work. Mobile options will be considered in this redesign.
