(Waiting Times Directive)’ as part of Te Whatu Ora Planned Care Taskforce Reset and Restore Plan?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the January to March 2024 quarter, Health New Zealand developed a comprehensive approach using a national Planned Care dashboard to identify and report patients, by clinically assigned priority, who are waiting >12 months for FSA. The dashboard reports patients waiting at a range of intervals through to patients waiting >12 months for FSA. The information is available at a service, district, and regional level. I am further advised that Health NZ has developed the capability to measure ‘booking in order' (treat in turn) and includes this within its national performance framework reporting.
