Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister for Regulation: Does the minister have a role to play in ensuring the quality of legislation passed through Parliament and if so did he have input (or was he consulted on) the letter of 25 March from the Attorney General relating to legislative quality?

Hon David Seymour: At the time of the letter’s publication, the Ministry for Regulation was only three weeks old. Since then, the Ministry for Regulation and the Parliamentary Counsel Office have developed a close working relationship.
