44291 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister for Children: What are the "military-style activities" that young offenders will undertake at Military-Style Academies?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that the Military-Style Academy pilot includes daily routines including a military-style drill/parade, exercise, a structured day, and the wearing of military-style clothing. There will also be daily routines that includes ensuring their rooms are clean and clothes ironed.
