44276 (2025). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister of Health: How many Māori patients, if any, are currently waiting for surgery in Taranaki and MidCentral, broken down by DHB?

Hon Simeon Brown: Corrected reply: I am advised that in the MidCentral District there were 356 patients identified as Māori waiting for surgery as at 12 September 2025, down from 464 as at 30 September 2024. I am further advised that in the Taranaki District there were 463 Māori patients awaiting surgery as at 15 September 2025, down from 480 as at 30 September 2024.
