44255 (2025). Arena Williams to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: Does the Minister agree with Consumer New Zealand that the protections offered in the New Zealand Bank Association's voluntary scam reimbursement scheme are significantly less consumer friendly than those enjoyed by consumers in the United Kingdom?

Hon Scott Simpson: The reimbursement scheme in the United Kingdom is different to the settings applied in New Zealand. I look forward to seeing the effectiveness of the banks' updated code to be launched on 30 November 2025.
