44242 (2025). Arena Williams to the Minister of Justice: If 11% of New Zealanders were victims of fraud and cybercrime in 2024, what, if any, is the percentage so far for 2025?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: This figure comes from the New Zealand Crime and Victims Survey. The 2025 survey is still in the field, with information being collected from up to 8,000 adults between October 2024 and October 2025. Once field collection is completed, the Ministry of Justice will analyse and then release the results. I am advised results will be released in the first quarter of 2026.
