44229 (2025). Arena Williams to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: Does the Minister agree with Consumer New Zealand that "the Government must take control of the scam response"?

Hon Scott Simpson: The Government has taken a coordinating role in the scam response. In July I announced the formation of the New Zealand Anti-Scam Alliance. This is a coordinated effort to combat scams, and I am looking forward to sharing what this group has been working on in due course.
