44221 (2025). Arena Williams to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: How many MBIE or other Government staff, if any, are supporting the Anti-Scam Alliance?

Hon Scott Simpson: Staff from several government departments and Crown entities are involved in the Alliance. Within my portfolio, five staff from MBIE, one from the Financial Markets Authority and two staff from the Commerce Commission dedicate some of their work time to supporting the Alliance. There are also staff at the Commerce Commission indirectly involved with supporting anti-scams work, such as those connected to fair trading.
