Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Vocational Education: What consultations are the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, planning to open on the week beginning Monday 1 September 2025 with employees around any changes to employment roles, employment numbers and any other employment conditions, and when is any such consultation expected to close?

Hon Penny Simmonds: The Tertiary Education Commission commenced consultation with employees within the Data and Digital Development Group, Information Directorate, the week beginning Monday 1 September on changes to create two distinct teams i.e. Business Intelligence Team and Data Science Team. The closing date for submissions is the 9 September 2025. Three vacant roles are proposed to be disestablished to create two new more senior roles i.e. Team Leader Business Intelligence and Data Practice Lead. Other employment changes will be a change in the reporting lines and changes to existing role descriptions. There is a proposed net reduction of 1.0 FTE.
