44146 (2024). Hon Jan Tinetti to the Minister of Education: How many New Zealand-born students, with at least one parent of migrant or refugee background have received English for speakers of other languages funding broken down by term, from 2017 through until the end of Term 2 2024?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised by the Ministry of Education that data showing migrant, New Zealand born, and refugee background students who received English for Speakers of Other Languages funding is collected over two terms at a time, called Period 1 and Period 2. I refer the Member to the attached table, showing this requested data from 2017 to the end of Term 2 2024. This is also my response to written parliamentary questions 44147 and 44149 (2024).
