44027 (2024). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Police: How many staff were employed in the Frontline First since 27 November 2023 to date, broken down by month and constabulary and non-constabulary?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I refer the Member to the attached table, which shows the number of public facing staff between 27 November 2023 and 30 June 2024 by month. Police has recently started classifying staff as “Public Facing” when their role is of that nature. This combines frontline Constabulary ‘first responders’ with other public-facing staff including non-sworn staff (other police employees) like Prosecutions, Firearms, Communicators and Dispatchers. These numbers do not include casual staff or contractors, nor staff on leave-without-pay / parental-leave-without-pay. Constabulary numbers will include authorised officers and temporary sworn salaried staff.
