43982 (2024). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Police: How many, if any, vetting requests have Police received from Australian Police Agencies regarding constabulary staff who have applied to relocate to Australia during June 2024?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that as of 1 July 2024, Police has received 42 vetting requests from Australian Police agencies for June 2024. Note, information on applications to join Australian agencies is collected when the Australian agency requests an integrity check from New Zealand Police. Therefore, the numbers in these reports relate to individual applications not necessarily individual people. For example, if an individual has applied to several Australian agencies they would be counted against each agency.
