43971 (2024). Hon Phil Twyford to the Associate Minister of Immigration: How long will it take – at the current pace and predicting that Tier 1 registrations will continue – to clear all Tier 2 applications/persons through to arriving in New Zealand?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that INZ currently holds 33 undecided Tier 2 RFSC residence applications on hand. 92 Tier 2 RFSC residence applications were decided in the 2023/24 financial year. INZ anticipates that all 33 on hand Tier 2 RFSC residence application will be decided within the current financial year, ending 30 June 2025. It should be noted that there are occasionally complexities associated with specific applications which can lead to longer-than-usual processing timeframes.
