43931 (2024). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister for Regulation: Further to WPQ 28529 (2024) Will the Ministry for Regulation publish a timeline for the completion of the ECE sector review and commit to regular updates on its progress to ensure transparency and accountability and if not why not?

Hon David Seymour: A timeline for the Early Childhood Education Regulatory Review is already available on the Ministry’s website: https://www.regulation.govt.nz/regulatory-reviews/early-childhood-education-ece-regulatory-sector-review. The Ministry is committed to keeping stakeholders, including parents and caregivers, people who work in ECE, service providers and other interested people updated on progress. This will be done by publishing information on the Ministry’s website and LinkedIn page, and providing the Ministry of Education and the Education Review Office updates they can share with their ECE sector stakeholders.
