Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter January to March 2024 on the action ‘Design and implement a multi-level, multi-channel campaign to raise awareness, increase understanding of dementia mate wareware and tackle stigma and discrimination’ under the objective ‘Build accepting and understanding communities’ within Te Whatu Ora’s Improving Dementia Mate Wareware Services in Aotearoa New Zealand Action Plan?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that during the January to March 2024 quarter, two service providers - a Pacific provider in Auckland and a Māori provider in the Bay of Plenty - were contracted to deliver trial multi-channel, culturally appropriate community awareness campaigns to their populations.
