Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the last quarter (January to March 2024) to implement the recommendation ‘Ensure visibility of data and evidence that specifically identifies where inequity exists in the pathway for Pacific’ as part of Te Whatu Ora Planned Care Taskforce Reset and Restore Plan?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that in the January to March 2024 quarter, work progressed to make ethnicity data visible for National Health Targets at local, regional, and national level. This has enabled Health New Zealand's Pacific Health team to focus on a number of initiatives aimed at reducing wait times in ED and timely access to specialist services.
