43821 (2024). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister of Foreign Affairs: Has the Minister seen reports of Palestinians claiming to be tortured while imprisoned in Israeli prisons; if so, is he concerned about these claims and what action, if any, does he intend to take?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: Claims of torture against Palestinians in Israeli prisons are concerning. New Zealand continues to convey our concerns to Israel both directly and through the United Nations. The Government has called for civilians to be protected and for all parties to the conflict to abide by international law, including international humanitarian law and international human rights law.
