43770 (2024). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister of Foreign Affairs: As at 9/07/2024, how much funding has been spent from the non-departmental International Development Cooperation Appropriation, and where has this funding been spent?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: In the 2023/24 Financial Year we spent $1.202 billion from the non-departmental International Development Cooperation Appropriation. The majority of these funds were provided to support the Pacific region ($753.6 million) and partners in South East Asia ($125.9 million). Beyond that, our funding supported multilateral and humanitarian agencies globally, and small projects in Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, South Asia, Ukraine, and the Middle East.
