43767 (2024). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Associate Minister of Police: What are the working conditions that she committed to improving in her reported comments by the New Zealand Herald on 31 May 2024, and how does she intend to achieve those improvements?

Hon Casey Costello: This Government is backing Police by committing to more front-line officers, providing better pay, and investing in resources as detailed in Budget 2024. Operational decisions targeted towards reducing already-low attrition are for the Commissioner to make but I am confident that he is considering every option to ensure that officers across the country feel valued and supported.
