Hon Simeon Brown: The estimate from the Motor Industry Association (MIA) used vehicle distributors’ confidential vehicle supply agreements for 2025–2027 to calculate the level of credits and charges that would accrue across the new vehicle industry. These agreements are between individual vehicle distributors and their respective overseas manufacturers. As they are confidential, the Ministry did not seek to verify the information in the vehicle supply agreements.
