43724 (2024). Hon Phil Twyford to the Minister of Immigration: What is the total amount, if any, of individuals who arrived into New Zealand on a Work To Residence Visa during the week of 24th June 2024?
Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that as at 16 July 2024, a total of nine individuals (comprising a mix of principal and secondary applicants) arrived in New Zealand on a Work To Residence Visa during the week beginning 24 June 2024. The number of individuals is based on first arrival after the grant of the visa offshore. First arrivals under the skilled residence Work to Residence pathway are likely to be lower in comparison to decision numbers due to the requirement to have worked in New Zealand for 24 months and therefore most are granted visas while onshore.
Of the nine individuals, six held temporary entry Work to Residence visas and the remaining three held resident class visas approved under Work to Residence subcategories.
