43715 (2025). Hon Jan Tinetti to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: How many, if any, road cones were removed as a result of a road cone complaint during the week of September 1st 2025?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I am advised that Road Controlling Authorities (RCAs) are responsible for the removal of excess road cones as part of their assessment of sites against approved traffic management plans. WorkSafe has implemented a monthly questionnaire to collect information from RCAs on a voluntary basis about their actions in relation to road cone hotline notifications, including an indication of over- or non-compliance. It does not require RCAs to provide exact numbers of road cones removed.
