Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the last quarter (January to March 2024) toward making ‘more detailed information available in order to control for which specific interventions individual referrals have received’ as discussed in the ‘Healthy Homes Initiative: Three-year outcomes evaluation’ report?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the January to March 2024 quarter, the He Kāinga Oranga - Housing and Health Research Programme at the University of Otago continue to evaluate the Healthy Homes Initiative (HHI), using data from the providers. I am further advised that He Kāinga Oranga worked with HHI providers to improve data collection, while HHI providers continued to identify interventions related to whānau assessments and record them in their contract management system.
