43662 (2025). Lan Pham to the Minister of Local Government: What process was followed for the selection of Steven Joyce and Wayne Eagleson as crown negotiators for city and regional deals?

Hon Simon Watts: The Department of Internal Affairs developed a list of possible candidates and worked with myself and the Minister for Infrastructure, Hon Chris Bishop, to determine which candidates would be best suited to negotiate on behalf of the Crown. These appointments are governed by the Department of Internal Affairs’ procurement processes.
