43621 (2025). Tangi Utikere to the Minister for Rail: What advice has he received on the risks and benefits of naming the preferred shipyard at the letter of intent stage, as was done during the iReX project, if any?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: A deal is not done until it is inked. Ruching bow-first into an announcement for the sake of it might have been an appealing approach under iReX in December 2020, but it is not how business is done now.
