43577 (2025). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Local Government: How many staff within the Department of Internal Affairs, and how many external advisors, are currently assigned to the process of reviewing Water Service Delivery Plans, and what budget has been allocated to this work?

Hon Simon Watts: I refer the member to my reply to written parliamentary question 43555 (2025) for the answer to staff and external advisors, including contractors. Budget 2025 allocated a total of $12.322 million for implementing Local Water Done Well which includes the review and assessment of water services delivery plans alongside council engagement, policy work and delivery of the programme.
