43556 (2025). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Local Government: When does he expect the first councils to receive his officials’ determination on the financial sustainability of the Water Service Delivery plans that have been submitted?

Hon Simon Watts: I am advised the Secretary for Local Government has already accepted water services delivery plans (plans) from Selwyn District Council, Waimakariri District Council and a joint plan from Hamilton City and Waikato District councils. The first plan was accepted on 3 July 2025.
