43273 (2025). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Associate Minister of Housing: Further to his response to question 39221 (2025), what is the average cost per household assisted under the Social Outcomes Contracting Trial as at 31 July 2025?

Hon Tama Potaka: As the trial is only 10 months in, officials advise me that is too early in the trial to provide an accurate average cost per household. The average cost of this trial is better provided when it finishes in November 2026. This will give a more accurate picture of the households in the trial and their support needs over time. It would take considerable amount of time to collate this information. Therefore, in accordance with Speaker’s Ruling 210/6, I consider that the time, and hence expense, of answering this question cannot be justified as a matter of public interest
