43227 (2025). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Associate Minister of Housing: Further to his response to question 39221 (2025), how many of the households assisted through the Social Outcomes Contracting Trial were also on the public housing register, and what was the average time they had been waiting before entering the trial?
Hon Tama Potaka: Since the Social Outcomes Contracting trial began in November 2025 to end of July 2025, I have been advised that a total of 74 households have been supported in the trial. This includes those that have entered the service and are still currently in it, and those that entered the service and then exited it. Obtaining information if those 74 households were on the public housing register and the average time each household have been on the public housing register would require substantial collation and engagement and divert Ministry staff from their core duties. In accordance with Speaker’s Ruling 210/6, I consider that the time, and hence the expense, of answering the Member’s question is not in the public interest.
