Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Associate Minister of Housing: Further to his response to question 39221 (2025), what mechanisms are in place to measure the housing stability of households assisted through the Social Outcomes Contracting Trial after the trial concludes, and who bears the cost if participants return to emergency housing?

Hon Tama Potaka: An evaluation of the Social Outcomes Contracting trial will be commissioned in early 2026. This is likely to include the sustainability of outcomes achieved through the trial. The Crown will continue to bear the cost of anyone who remains in, or re-enters, emergency housing.
