43200 (2025). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Justice: What coordination exists between the Ministry of Justice, the Department of Corrections, and local councils, if any, to manage any individuals on bail who are directed to reside in public spaces?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I am advised that the Ministry of Justice does not coordinate with the Department of Corrections or local councils to manage individuals on bail who are directed to reside in public spaces. Decisions regarding the granting of bail and any associated conditions are judicial matters and are determined solely by the Court.
