43109 (2025). Tangi Utikere to the Minister for State Owned Enterprises: Was the software that caused the national air traffic control outage in August 2025 developed internally, or supplied by an external vendor?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that the Oceanic air traffic control system was procured from a vendor. The system has been operational since early 2000 and has been continually upgraded and maintained internally by Airways.
