43093 (2025). Tangi Utikere to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: How many worksites, if any, were visited by WorkSafe inspectors following reports to the Road Cone Hotline of excessive use of road cones at those sites and what action, if any, did they take?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I am advised that WorkSafe inspectors have visited 22 sites as part of "ride-alongs" with Road Controlling Authorities (RCAs), who determine which sites to assess against approved traffic management plans. These site visits can include sites notified to the road cone hotline. WorkSafe has implemented a monthly questionnaire to collect information from RCAs about their actions in relation to road cone hotline notifications.
