43068 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Justice: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies, if any, how many employees, if any, are set to lose their roles and are economists, between 27 November 2023 and 10 July 2024?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I am advised that the Ministry of Justice is currently considering staff feedback on proposals for change. No decisions will be made until the Ministry has carefully considered all feedback. The Ministry is not able to confirm impacts on staff or specific functions, until after decisions have been made. Decisions are expected to be announced in August, with further processes to be completed in September.
