42935 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Economic Development: How many vacant positions have been disestablished, if any, in each of the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies, if any, between 27 November 2023 and 10 July 2024?

Hon Melissa Lee: New Zealand Trade and Enterprise had eight vacant positions that have been disestablished. I am advised that the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment can report the closure of 94.6 funded vacant positions as at 12 April 2024. There are a number of formal change processes still underway and an updated total of disestablished vacant positions will be available once these processes are fully implemented. With regard to New Zealand Growth Capital Partners - I am advised that no vacant positions have been removed
