42884 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Education: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies, if any, how many employees, if any, are set to lose their roles and are health and safety professionals, between 27 November 2023 and 10 July 2024?

Hon Erica Stanford: These decisions are the responsibility of the relevant agency Chief Executive. I am advised that the Public Service Association has commenced legal action in the Employment Relations Authority against the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) in relation to the change process. The Ministry has paused its change process while its legal action is underway. The Education Review Office advises that no employees have lost their roles between 27 November 2023 and 10 July 2024. The New Zealand Qualifications Authority is in the process of implementing a change decision, but none of the disestablished roles are health and safety professionals.
