42861 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Customs: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies, if any, how many employees, if any, are set to lose their roles and are health and safety professionals, between 27 November 2023 and 10 July 2024?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that between 27 November 2023 and 10 July 2024, one New Zealand Customs Service (Customs) Health and Safety role has been disestablished. This role was vacated prior to Customs’ organisational change programme commencing. However, this role has been replaced with a new Health and Safety role, leaving no overall reduction in Health and Safety roles or capacity as part of Customs’ organisational change programme.
